Vacancy for freelance refugee project champions

maNGOma aims to support community groups and community-based organisations in the UK and overseas, to help them develop and  share knowledge with one another.

We are currently running a project in Norwich (funded by The National Lottery Awards For All programme)  to encourage and support local refugees, migrant workers and ethnic minority groups to consider taking up volunteering opportunities leading to improved community integration, self-confidence, skills, and job prospects.

We are seeking to recruit two enthusiastic and motivated refugee project champions to lead on engaging with local refugee/migrant community groups and raising awareness of volunteering opportunities in the area.

This would be done for example by

  • attending events run with refugees, such as community lunches, English Plus conversation lessons, the Polonia Centre events for Ukrainian refugees etc.
  • making contact with community groups in Norwich that work with refugees
  • helping to promote a MaNGOma event we are planning later in the year

The fee we would pay for such activity is £500, payable in three equal instalments in June, July and September

Please contact Alina Sandu on  WhatsApp +441603381091 or Steve Wiseman on 07719215350 to discuss and/or to express and interest  or email them  at [email protected]  and [email protected]
